What You Need To Know About The 2021 Daisy Nationals
Daisy was forced to cancel the 2020 Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match, making it the first summer in 53 years without this prestigious contest. But now we’re looking to the 2021 event, and want to answer some questions for coaches, competitors and parents.
Qualification for 2021 Daisy Nationals will be the same as previous years, following the Daisy Nationals Match Program guidelines. Even if your team qualified in 2020, it still will need to compete and re-qualify to participate in Daisy Nationals 2021, except for the competitors that “aged out” this year.
Concerning those who aged out, since we will not have any actual “Champions” from 2020 due to the cancellation, competitors that aged out (16 years of age) can qualify as a Champion in 2021, providing you meet the following criteria:
- The competitor is age 16 at the time the first shot goes down range.
- The competitor was on a team that qualified for Daisy Nationals in 2020.
- The competitor was on a team that did not have the opportunity to compete in a qualifying match due to COVID-19, but planned to participate in a qualifying match.
Also, we have had requests for shirts and caps and such from the 2020 Daisy Nationals, but unfortunately we do not have any 2020 Daisy Nationals products available.
