Cook started his career on radio as Hollywood’s No. 1 child actor and has participated in more than 3,000 radio shows. In 1940, Cook played Little Beaver in Republic Studio’s 12-episode movie serial “The Adventures of Red Ryder” and in the ABC radio series for three years. He had voice-over roles on animated series such as Kid Flash on Aquaman Hour of Adventure, Augie on The Funky Phantom and Biff on Jabberjaw.
Cook wrote and produced several blockbuster films and was the man who signed Bobby Riggs to play Billie Jean King in the match known as “The Battle of the Sexes.” He gives back to the community and has raised millions of dollars for many charitable foundations benefiting women in need, veterans, the Make A Wish Foundation and others.
